Dr Gloria K F Loke MB,BS, DCH, FRCP, FAMS.DirectorDr Loke is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Physician at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. She has worked in the Royal Free Hospital , and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School at Hammersmith Hospital, London. Her major interest is in the management of patients with diabetes mellitus, especially those on renal dialysis. |
Dr Yap-Whang Hwee Yong, MB, BS, MRCP, Dip ABIM, FACP, FAMS, FRCPDirectorDr. Yap-Whang Hwee Yong is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre. She was previously an Associate Internist/Associate Professor of Medicine with the Department of Medicine at the MD Anderson Hospital in Texas, USA. She received her MBBS from the University of Newcastle, England (1971) and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK)(1974). She is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine (1975) and the American Board of Internal Medicine, Oncology Specialty (1977). Dr. Yap-Whang is also a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (1984), the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (1984) and the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh)(1985). Dr. Yap-Whang was previously a Committee Member of the Singapore Art Museum and the Asian Civilisations Museum Board. She has a special interest in the areas of Cancer Chemotherapy and Clinical Pharmacology, Breast Cancer, the Central Nervous System and Hepatic Metastases. Dr. Yap-Whang has wide experience in cancer patient care, both hematologic malignancies and solid tumors. |
Low Check Kian, MSc, BSc(1st Class)DirectorCheck Low is a Founder of NewSmith Capital. He manages NewSmith's Asia Pacific offices, has over 20 years' experience in the securities industry in Asia. Prior to founding NewSmith, Check was a Senior Vice-President and Member of the Executive Management Committee of Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. as well as Chairman of Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific. Prior to that, he was a member of the management of PT Kideco Jaya Agung (3rd largest coal mine in Indonesia) and Vice President (Corporate Finance) in Indika Group. Mr. Chua has served as Singapore Economic Development Board’s Jakarta Centre Director as well as First Secretary (Industry) at the Singapore Embassy in Indonesia.
