#Didyouknow that researchers hypothesise that global warming is a major suspect behind an uptick in chronic kidney diseases.
A rise in the prevalence of chronic kidney disease in outdoor workers who had no underlying conditions led to in-depth studies to explore the interlinking relationship between climate change and its impact on the kidneys. Research suggests that individuals who spend a lot of time outdoors in extreme heat with insufficient hydration, tend to stress out their kidneys that can lead to kidney stones and other chronic conditions.
As of now, Southeast Asian countries and India are said to be majorly affected by this while it is predicted that climate-related kidney stone cases in the US would also increase 30% by 2050.
